Rescues ----

This halter was grown into the top of her head, could only be cut away, leaving the grown in portion in place, as she was too weak to sedate for removal.  It was later removed, by a veterinarian, when her overall condition had improved.

                                   with Mom from above,Mom's condition was so poor she had no milk for this little one.

Brown areas in the before photo are a condition called rain scald or rain rot, a skin infection.

Hard as we tried to restore these horses....internal organs were already failing,

and humane euthanasia was recommended by the vet.    

 

Why do we do this....sometimes unpopular job...because they cannot speak, so we have to speak for them.  

To stop this from happening......
